Kapton Labels

kapton labels

We are a leading supplier of Kapton labels, (also known as polyimide labels, PCB labels or printed circuit board labels) where both the substrate and the adhesive can withstand temperatures up to 400°C.

These specialist labels are widely used across many industries such as; the electronics industry during the production of printed circuit boards (PCB's) where the identification of both product and process data during the high temperature processes of soldering, hot air tinning and gilding puts huge demands on the label, the pottery and ceramics industry, the motor industry where they are often used for applications such as under bonnet labelling, the baking industry, and the steel industry.

We specialise in providing high quality, cost effective labels of any size, shape or colour in small to medium sized runs. Our full colour Kapton labels can include for example; any image or logo, product technical data, variable batch numbers, usage or storage instructions, barcodes, dates or sequential numbering and can also be personalised to suit your individual needs and branding requirements.

Insignia Labels produce a variety of high temperature labels manufactured from high temperature resistant label stock which will withstand temperatures up to 400°C and will remain in place and legible throughout the manufacturing, baking or assembly process. The smooth, matt white surface of the label also facilitates very accurate thermal transfer printing to produce high-density barcodes, and ensure positive identification at all times. This in turn aids product logistics and tracking of data, potentially minimising warranty claims and maintaining quality standards.

These labels are made from Kapton, the polyimide film developed by DuPont and used in a variety of high temperature environments such as space where NASA use it as the outside layer of space suits.
